Job Description

Responsibilities

Design and build advanced applications for the iOS platform
Work with cross-functional teams to define, design and deploy new features.
Unit-test code for robustness including edge cases, usability, and overall reliability.
Work to troubleshoot and improve application performance.
Continuously discover, evaluate and implement new technologies to maximize development effectiveness.

Requirements

Experience with Google Maps and Sockets is important – essential
Proficiency in Objective-C or Swift {{depending on project needs}} and Cocoa Touch
Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc.
Experience with offline storage, threading and performance tuning
Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS apps to backend services
Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards
Understanding of Apple design principles and interface guidelines
Knowledge of low-level C-based libraries is preferred
Experience with performance and memory tuning using tools {{such as Instruments and Shark, as needed for the project}}
Familiarity with cloud messaging APIs and push notifications
Upgrade for benchmarking and optimization
Thorough understanding of code versioning tools {{like Git, Mercurial, or SVN}}
Knowledge of continuous integration

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering or relevant engineering discipline/experience preferred.
  2-3 years of relevant experience
